Amy has had an eventful year full of adventure. In the spring she traveled to London and Florida and she has recently returned from a trip to Nova Scotia. Her favorite destination so far has been London although it is up for tough competition when she travels to Paris in the Fall. Amy also spends many weekends at her lake house in New Hampshire with her travel companion, her father.

John has spent a lot time this summer exploring his new community . John attended "Tommy" at the North Shore Theater, enjoyed the exhibits at the zoo and the aquarium and explored a new hobby of horse back riding. John has also enjoyed playing basketball at a nearby park and taking walks on a local pier.

Bill G. is enjoying the results of a successful patio garden. This year Bill planted two tomato plant (one cherry and one beefsteak) and two pepper plants (one hot and one very hot). Bill dried the some peppers to use during the year and plans to make a dynamite salsa from his labor.

Darrell F. treated the clients and staff to a not so ordinary cookout this summer. Besides the usual fare of hot dogs and burgers, Darrell created a terrific salads and some gourmet teats such as hand dipped chocolate strawberries and fresh fruit bowl with yogurt dressing. Darrell did all the meal planning and preparations and everyone else enjoyed the food and excellent day.

Once again, NeuroAdvancE's Maryann S. will join approximately 25,000 fellow "runners" in New York City on November 2nd for the 1997 New York City Marathon.

Training has become a daily part of Maryann's life as she trains for her third marathon. A tricycle entrant in the New York and Pittsburgh marathons, she has enjoyed the success of completing both. The Pittsburgh marathon was most memorable because she rode the 26.2 mile course beside her brother, Michael, who will be her running mate once again as they enjoy the sights and scents of the five boroughs.

Be sure to read our winter issue of NeuroNews and Maryann's account of Marathon '97.
